Renters Information

Welcome to the Riverwood.

Welcome to the Community of Riverwood. Riverwood is not a resort but a private residential gated and “deed restricted” Community.

Most of the communities in Riverwood have a minimumstay of 1 month to 3 months.  In addition, some neighborhoods may not allow renters to have pets.  Click HERE for the Neighborhood Rental Times document which lists the minimum rental period for each of the 29 neighborhoods.

As a gated community, we do monitor all vehicles. Your will need to have a Visitor Pass for your car which will allow access to the Front Gate on FL-776.

On renting a Riverwood residence, the owner will provide you with a Riverwood Community Association Lease Notification Form.  Please have this form available to show the Guard on Duty.  He will direct you to the Riverwood Office. There is a $25 charge for processing the leases and the office will authorize you for a Visitor Pass for the duration of your visit. During non-business hours, the Guard on Duty will process the lease and provide you with a Visitor Pass.

For Guests, your host should have pre-authorized your visit with the Guard Staff and your Visitor Pass should be available at the Guard House.  If not, you will need to contact your Host to gain access.

Please review the Rule Summary for Renters,Visitors, and Guests document by clicking HERE.  For information about the full set of Regulations for Riverwood, please ask the Owner from whom you are renting or Homeowner with whom you are staying.

If you have questions about the community or regulations, please feel free to can the Office/Activity Center Staff at 941-764-6663. It is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Otherwise call the Guard House at 941-764-6822 which is open 24 hours.
